We spent yesterday afternoon at Gene and Kathryn's house (my ex-husband and his wife) and had a great time. They have a 19th-century Greek Revival home in a beautiful spot north of Schuylerville on the Hudson River. Their gardens and deck are lush with plantings, and the scenic river setting is breathtaking. It was like spending time at a vacation resort! We swam in the pool and had a great little lunch buffet of different veggies, spreads, and fruit. Here are some photos of a really fun afternoon:
