Commenting Made Easier (I hope)

I've heard from a number of people that they'd like to leave a comment on a blog post, but can't.  It's not as easy as it should be, and they give up.  Well, I'm here to try to make it easier, because nothing makes my day more than your comments on my blog!  And I want  you to be able to win a monthly comment contest, I really do!

So, here's what you do:  Click on the comment tab at the bottom of the post.  Then...

  1. Type your comment in the comment box.
  2. Select your identity.  If you have a google account, check that and enter your user name and password.
  3. If you do not have a google account, click on Name/URL and just type your name.  If you happen to have a Web site, you can enter that.  Just make sure you leave some sort of identifying info in the body of your comment so that if you win, I can let you know.
  4. If you want to comment as "Anonymous" choose that, but I might not be able to find you if you win, unless you choose anonymous but leave a little identifying info in the comment.

I am working on making the process smoother and adopting a more user-friendly format, but for now, give this a try, and let me know what you think.  For those of  you who have been able to comment successfully, a few pointers would be very helpful in the comment section to this post (which, by the way, could earn you that prize on December 1st!).

Thanks so much for following along all this time.

  4. I always hate to hear that people don't comment because they think it is too hard when it really isn't! You really need people to comment if you are giving away anything that you've made because I know it will be divine!! So thankful for you and love your blog!!

  5. Can I say, that a lady that I admire very much told me about a month ago to take off the comment verification….it truly has made all the difference! I don't know why people shy away from tying all of that in..but I think they do!

  6. I have enjoyed your posts for two years about your baking, family (Henry and Peter mostly), work and blogging. Yet I have never commented directly on your wonderful blog, even after you posted to mine. But I feel lucky with a chance that I could win cookies or a cake. So put me in coach!

  13. I love your blog and go to it all the time from my facebook page. I don't know how you have time to do all the baking and cooking that you do! Could you help me out with a question I have? I would like to get a stand mixer for Christmas, but am overwhelmed by all of the choices and reviews I've been reading. Since I've just been diagnosed with Celiacs, I think I'm going to need to start making some of my own bread. Which mixer do you use that stands up to bread dough? Thanks so much.

    1. Marilyn, you can't go wrong with a Kitchen Aid. I have the standard model and it does very well with all types of dough/batter. I have the one where the bowl fits into the base - there's a more expensive model that lifts the bowl up to the beater. They're beautiful, but probably more than you need. I think you can get one for about $200 on sale, maybe closer to $250, but you will never regret spending the money! Thanks for your kind words about the blog, too!
