Hello again my friends. I am very happy to be writing about muffins again (especially after posting a potentially explosive opinion on facebook) realizing that my time is best spent discussing the finer points of baking! I do thank Anna, though (one of my daughter Meghan's best and beautiful friends from forever) who reminded me, when I decided to exit the conversation, that it is important to "...speak your mind, even if your voice shakes." (Maggie Kuhn) I so love that quote, in its simple empowerment. So, thanks Anna, and on to the orange cranberry muffins I promised my fb friends...
Well, no sense reinventing the
muffin wheel, and in excavating this site to see if I had ever written about such a muffin before, guess what? I had, back in November of 2009. I read it as if someone else had written it -- sounded brand new to me, like I'd never even seen it before! Here it is again, with all its seasonal flavor -- kind of like Christmas/Thanksgiving in July! Just click the link to find it.

Never met a muffin I didn't love...but next to the classic blueberry, orange cranberry is my fave!
ReplyDeletelove muffins ,lemon poopy seed is my favorite
DeleteI'd eat these muffins any time of the year!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have never walked away from a muffin but I have to admit that my absolute favorite treat is a warm, gooey, cinnamon bun. The smell reminds me of my Grandma Bohley (my moms mother). She baked a mean cinnamon bun and even better loaf of bread. I can almost smell them now! Have you ever posted your cinnamon bun receipe Jeanne? If so, could you give it another whirl? Lynn
ReplyDeleteThese remind me of the fall, my favorite time of the year…loaded with fresh cranberries. Yum! A nice thought when it's a steamy 100 degrees in Virginia. One of my favorites, and will definitely have to try them! Have a nice weekend, Jeannie!
ReplyDeleteI love muffins...blueberry being my all time favorite. Since a child, I have never appreciated, shall I say, the taste of cranberries - I even pick them out of the chicken salad from Hattie's! :-)
ReplyDeleteOver the weekend I received an email from a local apple orchard saying that the first of the apple crops were ready. It got me to thinking that we are a month away from when I consider it to be apple time, which then started a snow ball of thoughts school starting, my son's senior year of high school, college applications etc. but then I brought myself back to apples. I LOVE apples - and since you posted about muffins - I think I will start the search for a really good apple muffin recipe!
I just love muffins... choc chip & blueberry tie for my favorites, but just thinking about orange cranberry puts a little smile on my face! I'm going to give this recipe a try! Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteOrange & cranberry, a great combination!
